Pricing
Published in full. No quote, no sales call, no price you only learn after speaking to somebody.
Two numbers decide your tier, and you are on whichever is higher: how many things you are moving at the same time, and how much data you have moved in total.
Your mail, your contacts, your calendar, your tasks and your files are separate migrations, and photos from a Google export are one more. One person moving all six at once is six at the same time; one person moving them one after another is one.
Done within six months? Pay monthly. Longer, or not sure? A year costs the same as six months.
Free
One person, at a pass a day
- 6 migrations at the same time
- 150 GB of data moved
- More data moves you to Small, and more than 6 migrations at the same time to Medium — and we ask you first.
Everything one person moves, one pass a day: the first right after you start, the small things first and the files last. The patient option, and free.
Small
One person, at full pace
- 6 migrations at the same time
- 500 GB of data moved
- No setup fee
- €15 for a three-month migration, paying monthly
The first copy runs pass after pass. After it we look for changes every hour, or as often as every 15 minutes if you choose.
Medium
Two people, or a small team
- 12 migrations at the same time
- 1.5 TB of data moved
- No setup fee
- €36 for a three-month migration, paying monthly
Two people with everything, or four with three kinds of data each. Self-service, with a manual and somewhere to ask questions.
Large
A household, or a small business
- 24 migrations at the same time
- 6 TB of data moved
- No setup fee
- €120 for a three-month migration, paying monthly
Four people with everything. Where a real person gets involved: planning, the switch, and someone to call when a provider does something strange.
Extra large
An organisation, or an IT partner
- 50 migrations at the same time
- 15 TB of data moved
- No setup fee
- €240 for a three-month migration, paying monthly
Ten people with five kinds of data each. Many accounts, one migration, one relationship.
All prices include VAT.
Past 50 migrations at once or 15 TB, talk to us — that is the one thing not published, because past the end of the scale we have to look at the actual case.
The parts worth knowing before you pay
Is there a free way?
Free is free. Six migrations at the same time, up to 150 GB, cost nothing: nothing a month, no invoice, and no card or billing details to give us. That is everything one person moves, at one pass a day: the first right after you start, the small things first and the files last. A paid tier copies pass after pass. More than 150 GB moves you to Small, more than six migrations at the same time to Medium, and we ask you before it does.
Can I choose a higher tier?
You may choose a higher tier. Your tier is worked out from what you move. You may also choose a higher one, Small for its pace while Free would do, for example; that tier is then the least you pay.
Does the bill go down when I finish?
Finishing lowers your bill, automatically. When a migration finishes it stops counting, and the tier falls on its own without you asking. So if you start everything at once, the bill comes down as each thing finishes. We do not steer you either way.
Does pausing lower it?
Pausing does not lower it. A paused migration is holding its place and can resume in a second, which is the point of it. Finishing is what frees the space.
What if I keep copying after I switch?
Unless you ask us to keep copying. Some people want the old account to keep feeding the new one after they have moved — new events in a shared calendar somebody else still writes to, new files in a folder a colleague still drops things into. Only new items keep arriving: what is changed or removed there no longer reaches your new home. That is a migration that never finishes, so it never stops counting: the tier stays where it is until you end it. We will not switch it on for you, and we will not bill past twelve months without asking you again.
What if I stop one kind of data?
Stopping one kind of data works like a pause, until you have moved. You can stop your mail while your contacts and calendar keep flowing, and start it again later. Before the move, a stopped kind keeps its place, as a pause does. Once you keep copying after the move, a stopped kind no longer counts. The tier reads the busiest moment of the month, so stopping and starting again within one month does not lower it.
Is there a setup fee?
There is no setup fee. You pay for the months you use and nothing up front, so starting small and growing costs the same as starting at full size. There is nothing to gain by understating what you need.
What does a year cost?
A year costs six months. Pay a year ahead and it costs half the monthly price. It works as credit: each month pays half the monthly price of the tier it used, so finishing a migration still lowers what a month costs, and a month on Free costs nothing. Apart from the 14 days the law gives you to change your mind, the credit is not refunded. What is left after the year pays for the months that follow, at the full monthly price, until it runs out; then you pay month by month. Close your account and what is left ends with it. A year never renews by itself.
What counts as data moved?
The data figure only counts the first copy of anything. Re-copies, retries and ongoing changes do not count against it, and neither do our own mistakes. It is a measure of how much of your stuff we have moved, which is a number you can look up on your own provider's storage page before you start.
What if I run out of room?
Running out of room does not have to mean moving up a tier. You can buy another whole band of room for your tier's monthly price, once, and stay where you are. Tiers buy capacity; top-ups buy room. Whichever is cheaper for you is the one we will point at. Free has no top-up: past its 150 GB, it is Small.
What if a migration has nothing left to do?
We do not take money from inattention. If a migration is running with nothing left to do, we ask you — in one click — whether to keep it or finish it. And we never bill past twelve months without you saying so again.
Can I stop whenever I like?
Cancel whenever. No minimum term, no notice period, no cancellation fee.
Why it is priced this way
Costs include our work. The price pays for what it takes to run and build the service: the servers, the support, and the time spent building and improving the software. There are no investors to answer to.
All prices include VAT. Self-hosting is free and always will be.
