Ownpace is in its Alpha, by invitation. Nothing is charged during the Alpha. Request access

Move off Google or Microsoft. At your own pace.

Ownpace copies your mail, contacts, calendar, tasks and files to a European provider you choose — and keeps the copy in step until you decide to switch over. No weekend deadline. No switching everything in one go. Your old account stays exactly where it is, for as long as you keep it.

Free: 6 migrations at the same time and up to 150 GB, at one pass a day. Every price is published in full — no quote, no sales call. All prices include VAT.

Your old account stays whole: it is your way back. The test that checks this (code, on GitHub).

Kept in step until you switch.

New mail and changed files keep arriving.

A list of what arrived, item by item.

And what could not come, with the reason.

How it works

  1. Connect the account you are leaving

    Ownpace changes nothing there.

  2. We copy, then keep copying

Every change arrives in your new home.

  3. Switch when you are ready

Check what arrived first. No deadline.

The whole of How it works

What you see in the app

One page for each person you migrate for: every account they are leaving, each kind of data, how far it has come and when Ownpace last copied it.

The app’s page for Anna Jansen: three migrations, from Gmail, Google and Dropbox to Soverin and Nextcloud. Email and contacts are kept in step; the calendar and the files are being copied.

Where to

Your new home is an account you open with a European provider, paid to them. Ownpace moves your data into it and keeps it in step.

What makes this different

It is a move, not a copy

Most migration tools run a copy job and hand you the result. Ownpace keeps running: every change on your old account arrives on the new one, for as long as you want, until you switch.

Nothing is deleted at the source

Ever. Your old account is your fallback, and Ownpace leaves it as it is: the software has no code that changes or deletes anything at a source. Some permissions allow more than Ownpace uses; How it works says which.

European, all the way down

Migrating off US cloud through a US service defeats the point. Ownpace runs in the EU, and the software is open source, so you can check that rather than trust it.

Or run it yourself

The whole thing is free, open-source software (Apache-2.0). Run it on your own machine and we never see your data, receive no usage data, and have nothing to be trusted with.

What it will not do

The honest list, in front of the price rather than behind it.

It does not sync backwards

Data flows old → new. Ownpace never writes to your old account, which is what keeps it a safe place to fall back to.

It cannot move everything perfectly

Providers differ, and some things do not survive the crossing. Whatever cannot be moved is reported to you item by item, with the reason — never dropped quietly.

It is not a backup service

Once you switch, the migration is finished. Keeping a copy in step afterwards is a new migration you set up, and it is priced as one.

What it costs

Two numbers decide your price: how many things you are moving at the same time, and how much data you have moved in total. You are on whichever is higher, and finishing a migration lowers your bill by itself.

Small, for one person moving everything at full pace: €5 a month, or €30 for a year, for 6 migrations at once and 500 GB. There is no setup fee.
